A man and a woman sitting on a wooden bench at a beach, with ocean waves, sandy shore, and hills in the background. The man is smiling, wearing a baseball cap and a dark t-shirt, and the woman is also smiling, dressed in black. Pinkish bushes surround the bench.

Phil & Miriam Allan

At Gisborne Scaffolding, we’re proud to be a family-built, locally owned and operated business. Owners Phil and Miriam Allan bring together decades of experience, community spirit, and good old-fashioned hard work.

With over 25 years of experience as a ticketed scaffolder, Phil has worked across Canada, Auckland, and Gisborne, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every project. His hands-on approach and commitment to safety and quality have helped shape Gisborne Scaffolding into a trusted local name.

Behind the scenes, Miriam uses her skills as an accountant to keep things running like clockwork, making sure the business stays strong and steady.Together, they’re the perfect balance of brains and muscle - leading a team that values reliability, communication, and strong community ties.

Family is at the heart of everything they do. Their two daughters, one-year-old granddaughter, and grandson on the way, are regulars around the scaff yard - and if Phil’s not there, chances are he’s out walking the block with little Layla in the pram.

At Gisborne Scaffolding, we take pride in supporting people, projects, and our local community from the ground up.
